Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum 5+ years of experience with large-scale infrastructure systems in production environments
5+ years’ experience with modern programming/scripting languages such as Go, Python, Bash, C#, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript
5+ years experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable)
2+ years hands-on experience with Kubernetes (cluster lifecycle, networking, upgrades) and containerization (Docker)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
Experience building and automating CI/CD pipelines in a DevOps or DevSecOps environment
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment Experience with Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments
Familiarity with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux
Understanding of service discovery and load balancing technologies
Experience with backup and disaster recovery strategies in cloud environments
Exposure to DevSecOps practices and security compliance processes
Experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments
About the company
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Infrastructure Engineer to support a global industrial technology and manufacturing client in Round Rock, TX. This individual will play a critical role in building and scaling cloud-native infrastructure that powers enterprise-level products and digital solutions across a global organization.This is a newly created position driven by increased demand to expand and integrate cloud capabilities across multiple product lines. The engineer will be embedded within a 6-person DevOps and cloud infrastructure team in Austin (CSS - Control Systems & Software group), supporting broader business units that are building and deploying cloud-based applications.
In this role, you will act as a key technical contributor and single point of contact for multiple global development teams, helping bring applications into an Azure-based cloud environment. Day-to-day, you will partner closely with development teams to translate application requirements into scalable cloud architecture, build and manage Kubernetes-based environments, and enable DevSecOps best practices. You will spend approximately 70% of your time hands-on with technical work - including infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline development, and deployment support - and 30% collaborating with global stakeholders across the U.S., Europe, India, and Singapore.
