Job description
As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and security of our IT environment. Key duties include: Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and other critical IT infrastructure. Providing timely and effective technical support to our staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Managing system security, including implementing security protocols, monitoring for threats, and performing regular updates. Overseeing data backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. Managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights across all systems. Monitoring system performance and reliability to ensure optimal operation. Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for IT processes, policies, and systems. Collaborating with various departments to assess and address their technology needs.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Systems Administrator to join our team. This is a FULL_TIME, fully remote position responsible for maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, directly supporting our mission to help every young person graduate with a plan for their future, demonstrate good character, and live a healthy lifestyle., The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Essential qualifications include: Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of system administration, including network management (LAN/WAN), databases, and patch management. Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms, such as Windows Server and Linux. A solid understanding of IT security principles and data backup/recovery best practices. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively., Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, MCSA). Experience working within a non-profit organisation. Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
