  • Validate data ingestion from multiple source systems and perform reconciliation checks on raw data.
  • Test data quality controls, business rules and validations across the data platform.
  • Check transformations across Bronze, Silver and Gold data layers to ensure outputs are accurate and reliable.
  • Validate mapping from source systems into the Enterprise Data Model.
  • Test data used for Power BI reporting, API integrations and downstream systems.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases and results documentation.
  • Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Modellers, Project Managers, Project Testers and wider delivery teams., If you don’t meet every requirement but have strong data testing experience and a willingness to learn, we’d still encourage you to apply. Why join us?

  • Work on a strategic enterprise data platform with high visibility across the organisation.
  • Gain exposure to modern cloud data architecture and data models.
  • Support trusted reporting, APIs and analytics used across the business.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, modelling and project delivery teams.
  • Join a team that values learning, curiosity and continuous development.

Requirements

  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience in data testing, data validation or reconciliation within data-focused projects.
  • Understanding of end-to-end testing approaches and good test documentation practices.
  • Experience testing data mappings, transformations and business rules.
  • Python experience would be helpful, but we’re open to candidates who are keen to develop this skill.
  • Databricks, Azure DevOps or modern cloud data platform experience would be beneficial, but training can be provided.
  • Financial Services experience would be useful but is not essential.

What we’re looking for Alongside technical capability, we’re looking for people who enjoy working collaboratively and take pride in helping teams make confident, data-led decisions.

  • You’re detail-oriented and care about data quality.
  • You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • You enjoy working across teams and building positive relationships.
  • You’re curious, keen to learn and open to developing new skills.
  • You’re comfortable asking questions and challenging data issues in a constructive way.
