Tasks
Internal Tools & Self-Services
- Develop and maintain the internal tools and self-services that power our operations, including the Backoffice - a Django-based solution that centrally drives the configuration, release management, and day-to-day operations of SeqOne solution instances.
- Improve the reliability, observability, and maintainability of these tools (clean architecture, managing technical debt, sensible automation)
CI/CD & Delivery
- Develop, maintain, and secure the internal CI/CD pipelines that support the development and release of SeqOne solutions (e.g., GitLab CI, ArgoCD, ephemeral development environments).
- Streamline the path to production so that Engineering and Science teams can build, test, and release with confidence and speed.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Science teams on tooling, interface contracts, and operational needs.
Operations, Security & Compliance
- Contribute to keeping the SeqOne solutions and their supporting platforms operational and secure, in line with standards such as ISO 27001 and HDS.
- Apply a strong production mindset: performance, monitoring, incident readiness, and traceability aligned with our quality and regulatory expectations.
Requirements
- Working experience in Python.
- Working experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Working experience with ArgoCD.
- Working experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid software engineering practices (testing, automation, pragmatic design, security awareness).
Profile
- Significant working experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering.
- An engineering degree is preferred.
- Working knowledge of English (our day-to-day engineering language).
- A collaborative approach: clear communication across teams, dependencies, and trade-offs.
Nice to Have
- Working experience, or knowledge of Django.
- Working experience, or knowledge of Go.
- Cloud experience (ideally AWS) and Terraform
