Job description

**SeqOne develops next-generation genomics software that turns complex sequencing data into clear, actionable insights for clinicians and researchers. Our platforms power high-impact applications in oncology and rare disease, with a strong focus on robustness, reproducibility, and speed. We are building a world-class team in Montpellier (FR), Paris (FR), and Cambridge (UK).

Why SeqOne?

Direct Impact: Your contributions will enhance customer experience and shape the evolution of our genomic products.

Stimulating Environment: Passionate team, innovative projects, and a culture of transparency.

Flexibility: Remote work options, flexible hours, and competitive benefits.

Growth Opportunities: Internal career development, continuous training, and participation in scientific conferences.

Soft Skills: “Unstoppable Positivity” (resilience and solution-first mindset) and “Open Heart, Hands-On” (kindness combined with direct feedback).

Tasks

Internal Tools & Self-Services

  • Develop and maintain the internal tools and self-services that power our operations, including the Backoffice - a Django-based solution that centrally drives the configuration, release management, and day-to-day operations of SeqOne solution instances.
  • Improve the reliability, observability, and maintainability of these tools (clean architecture, managing technical debt, sensible automation)

CI/CD & Delivery

  • Develop, maintain, and secure the internal CI/CD pipelines that support the development and release of SeqOne solutions (e.g., GitLab CI, ArgoCD, ephemeral development environments).
  • Streamline the path to production so that Engineering and Science teams can build, test, and release with confidence and speed.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Science teams on tooling, interface contracts, and operational needs.

Operations, Security & Compliance

  • Contribute to keeping the SeqOne solutions and their supporting platforms operational and secure, in line with standards such as ISO 27001 and HDS.
  • Apply a strong production mindset: performance, monitoring, incident readiness, and traceability aligned with our quality and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

  • Working experience in Python.
  • Working experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Working experience with ArgoCD.
  • Working experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid software engineering practices (testing, automation, pragmatic design, security awareness).

Profile

  • Significant working experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering.
  • An engineering degree is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of English (our day-to-day engineering language).
  • A collaborative approach: clear communication across teams, dependencies, and trade-offs.

Nice to Have

  • Working experience, or knowledge of Django.
  • Working experience, or knowledge of Go.
  • Cloud experience (ideally AWS) and Terraform
