Job description

We are seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering & Development who will report directly to the IT Managing Director of Corporate Actions & Income. This role is accountable for the design, development, and delivery of technology solutions supporting Corporate Actions processing. The position blends people leadership, technical stewardship, and delivery ownership within a regulated financial services environment.

The position plays a pivotal role in shaping technology strategy and execution, ensuring solutions are built for reliability, scalability, and strong controls while meeting stringent regulatory, operational, and client expectations.

What you will be responsible for

As a Vice President of Software Engineering & Development you will:

  • Own end-to-end delivery for the Corporate Actions Open Systems platform, spanning solution design, development, testing, production release, and post-production support.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight across architecture, system design, and code quality, including proof of concepts, code reviews and mentoring
  • Ensure solutions meet required security, compliance, and operational readiness standards
  • Design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure system solutions in alignment with business requirements in an Agile environment
  • Identify and mitigate risks using strong problem solving abilities and effective communication.

Requirements

  • Proven technology leadership experience supporting corporate action processing, custody platforms or asset servicing platforms.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and sound decision-making capabilities in complex environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and persuade effectively
  • Proven architectural and technology experience with a focus on designing and implementing scalable, efficient and secure systems, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology or program management roles within financial services.
  • 6+ years’ experience in an Agile ecosystem
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle SQL
  • 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, React JS
  • Strong experience with custody platforms, securities processing, or post-trade systems (e.g., settlements, asset servicing, corporate actions)

Work Requirement:

  • 4 days in office and one day remote

Salary Range: $120,000 - $217,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
