Job description

Backend Software Engineer, Frontend Software Engineer, Full Stack Software Engineer, C++, Rust, Python, React, WebGL, Autonomous Systems, Robotics, AI, London

Requirements

Software Engineer roles at a pioneering deep tech company building the foundational software and AI that powers the autonomous age, the operating layer that lets organisations task, control, and act on data from fleets of autonomous assets. Well funded and building for the long term, they’re assembling an elite Software Engineering team at a pivotal stage, with real ownership and a flat hierarchy from day one. Backend Software Engineers build the infrastructure that lets autonomous systems collaborate, process data at scale, and take meaningful action in real time. Frontend Software Engineers build high performance, data dense visualisation interfaces in React and WebGL, turning complex real time data into something operators can task and control under pressure. Full Stack Software Engineers work across both layers depending on where impact is needed most. Candidates for this Software Engineer search should bring strong software engineering fundamentals in C++, Java, Rust, or Python for Backend, or React and WebGL for Frontend, along with genuine motivation around critical industries such as ethical defence, civil defence, or humanitarian sectors, and comfort with ambiguity, autonomy, and outsized ownership.
