Job description

  • You will directly contribute to LinkedIn’s Site Reliability strategy

  • You will build and improve tools & software which enhances reliability of critical platforms of LinkedIn’s infrastructure.

  • You will help up-level and coach a team of talented developers.

  • Serve as the face of a team responsible for the overall health, performance of a significant part of our business

  • Gain and disseminate deep knowledge of our complex applications

  • Contribute to the development and growth of talented operations engineers ranging from junior to senior levels of experience

  • Play a leading role in the planning and execution of ongoing efforts to rapidly grow and improve our site

  • Develop tight relationships with multiple software development partners, ensuring that product needs are met from an Infra operations perspective, A request for an accommodation will be responded to within three business days. Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering/technical management and people management.

  • 4+ years of industry experience in system infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience managing engineering teams

  • 5+ years of experience building large-scale compute infrastructure or other relevant infrastructure

  • 2+ years of experience managing managers

  • Experience in leading technical teams and coaching engineers

  • Demonstrated understanding of operating system fundamentals, container technologies, and systems knowledge

The pay range for this role is $185,000 to $304,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager of the Infrastructure Reliability team at LinkedIn, you will play a crucial role leading the development of horizontal reliability platforms and solutions to improve reliability of Infra services at LinkedIn. You will be responsible for driving improvements in key Reliability metrics like TTD, TTM, and TTR.

In this role, you will lead a team that designs and implements solutions that enable LinkedIn to scale its LinkedIn’s infrastructure to meet the demands of a rapidly growing user base. You will also need to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
