Job description
We are looking for an experienced Application Security Specialist to support application security reviews, vulnerability validation, and secure development practices across development teams. You will perform in-depth code reviews, assess application security risks, and provide clear recommendations to strengthen the organisation’s security posture. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with application security testing tools, including Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA). Tasks you will perform would be:
- Perform detailed security assessments and secure code reviews to identify vulnerabilities and insecure coding practices.
- Validate, analyse, and prioritise security findings based on risk, impact, and business context.
- Recommend practical remediation measures and support development teams throughout the resolution process.
- Develop threat models and provide security architecture recommendations for applications, projects, and technical solutions.
- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed effectively and on time.
- Use and manage application security testing tools, including SAST, DAST, and SCA solutions.
- Support the implementation and adoption of secure coding standards, security guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Translate complex technical security risks into clear and actionable business recommendations.
- Contribute to reducing enterprise security risks through proactive assessments and advisory support.
- Deliver high-quality application security assessments, threat models, and architecture recommendations.
- Complete the agreed minimum number of security assessments per quarter.
- Provide clear, prioritised, and actionable remediation recommendations.
- Support the timely resolution of identified vulnerabilities.
- Contribute directly to reducing application and enterprise security risks.
- Improve awareness and adoption of secure coding practices across development teams.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications in application security, cloud security, or cybersecurity are considered an advantage.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, application security, cloud security, and security architecture.
- Demonstrable experience conducting complex application security assessments.
- Strong experience performing secure code reviews and identifying common application vulnerabilities.
- Hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tools.
- Ability to validate and prioritise security findings for remediation.
- Knowledge of secure software development practices and secure coding standards.
- Experience working with software development teams, architects, and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to convert technical findings into clear business risks and recommendations.

- A salary ranging between 3500 and 4800 euros per month.
