As an Enterprise Software Architect, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future direction of a business-critical platform. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll translate complex business requirements into a clear architectural vision, helping to drive the evolution of legacy systems into modern, scalable cloud-based solutions.

You’ll operate at the intersection of technology and business strategy, engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and C-suite executives, to ensure technology investments align with organisational goals.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing architectural roadmaps, vision documents and strategic technology plans that support long-term business objectives.

  • Partnering with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, enterprise-level solutions.

  • Leading the transformation of legacy platforms into modern cloud-native architectures.

  • Providing architectural governance and ensuring solutions align with security, scalability and best-practice standards.

  • Working closely with development teams to guide implementation and maintain architectural integrity throughout delivery.

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing technical insight and influencing strategic technology decisions.

  • Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending innovative approaches that improve scalability, resilience and operational efficiency.

  • Facilitating collaboration between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment across the business.

  • Mentoring engineers and technical leaders, helping to drive architectural excellence and technical best practice.

  • Acting as an escalation point for complex technical challenges and critical architectural decisions., Should we both wish to proceed, we will submit your details to the client and be in touch regarding the outcome and any further steps.

Requirements

We’re looking for an experienced Software Architect who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to influence stakeholders and operate confidently within a large, enterprise-scale environment.

You’ll be comfortable engaging with senior business leaders, building credibility with both technical and non-technical audiences, and creating architectural strategies that deliver tangible business value.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Proven experience in a dedicated Software, Solution or Enterprise Architecture role within a large-scale or complex organisation.

  • A track record of designing and delivering enterprise-grade software systems and transformation programmes.

  • Experience creating architectural roadmaps, vision documents and strategic technology plans from business requirements.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage, influence and present to senior leadership and C-suite audiences.

  • Experience modernising legacy platforms and delivering cloud transformation initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of modern software architecture principles, including microservices, distributed systems and cloud-native design.

  • Technical expertise across Microsoft technologies, including C#, .NET, WPF, SQL Server and associated enterprise platforms.

  • Experience working with modern technology stacks such as GoLang, Kubernetes and public cloud environments, ideally GCP.

  • A solid understanding of software governance, security, scalability and architectural best practices.

  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, ensuring architectural decisions support both business and technical objectives.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
