Virtualization Engineer

The selected candidate will provide engineering, administration, and operational support for enterprise VMware and Citrix environments while assisting with modernization, optimization, troubleshooting, and documentation initiatives., * Administer and maintain VMware and Citrix enterprise environments.

• Perform infrastructure assessments and site surveys.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize VMware and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops environments.
• Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and availability.
• Perform software, firmware, security patching, and system updates.
• Respond to critical incidents and provide advanced technical troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain configuration documentation, SOPs, diagrams, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with government personnel to support infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Provide performance reporting, capacity planning, and usage analysis.
• Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, FIPS 140-2, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Support virtualization implementation projects and technology upgrades.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and technical training for government personnel.
• Assist with hardware replacement, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Participate in on-call and mission-critical support as required.

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance (SCI eligibility preferred).
• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise virtualization environments.
• Experience administering VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and Horizon.
• Experience supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Experience with Windows Server administration.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience supporting Federal Government or Department of Defense environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Citrix Certified Associate (CCA) or Professional (CCP)
• Security+
• Microsoft certifications
• Experience with PowerShell automation
• Experience supporting classified networks
• Knowledge of DISA STIG compliance and cybersecurity best practices
