Job description
- Lead field crews on telecom construction and maintenance projects.
- Coordinate daily work plans, safety meetings, and project schedules.
- Read construction drawings and ensure work meets customer specifications.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot:
- Fiber optic networks
- Microwave radio systems
- Cellular LTE/5G equipment
- Central office and DC power systems
- Generators, battery systems, and solar power
- Towers, antennas, coax, and waveguide
- Complete project documentation and daily reports.
- Mentor and develop junior technicians.
- Maintain a safe, productive work environment.
Requirements
We’re looking for an experienced Telecommunications Foreman who leads by example, values safety, and takes pride in delivering quality work., * 5+ years of telecommunications field experience.
- Previous leadership or foreman experience preferred.
- Experience with one or more:
- Fiber splicing
- Microwave systems
- Cellular installations
- Tower construction
- DC power
- Ability to travel extensively throughout Alaska.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).
- Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. and work outdoors in remote environments.
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- CPR/First Aid
- Tower Climber & Rescue
- RF Awareness
- Confined Space
- Forklift/Aerial Lift
- Fiber or manufacturer certifications
