Job description

Markon is seeking a Data Scientist to support mission-critical analytics and rapid prototyping efforts for our Fort Meade Customer. The Data Scientist will develop data-driven solutions to evaluate sensor and collection performance, integrate diverse data sources, and deliver actionable insights to mission stakeholders. Responsibilities Compile and analyze data from multiple sources using computer scripting, statistical analysis, and data modeling techniques.

  • Develop rapid prototypes and analytics to demonstrate metrics, trends, and sensor or collection performance.
  • Design and implement data processing workflows using Python, including Jupyter Notebooks and Pandas.
  • Interact with and consume APIs to ingest and integrate structured and unstructured data.
  • Perform analytics supporting SIGINT collection or targeting missions.
  • Develop queries and perform analysis using mission data repositories, including XKS, DX, and GM.
  • Present analytical results through visualizations, dashboards, or reports for technical and mission audiences.
  • Collaborate with mission partners to refine requirements and iterate on analytic solutions.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Active Polygraph with this Customer.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline plus 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Required proficiency in Python, Jupyter, and Pandas.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop rapid analytic prototypes to assess metrics or sensor performance.
  • SIGINT collection or targeting experience required.
  • Required experience with XKS, DX, and GM mission tools.
  • Experience interacting with APIs for data ingestion and analysis.

Desired

  • Experience with PROFORMA, RF systems, or 451/452 reporting.
  • Data visualization experience using Plotly.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, SQL, HTML, or Pyodide.
