Job description

Join our innovative team as an Embedded Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in developing software that integrates with and controls physical power generation devices. You will design and implement software solutions that meet deterministic timing and safety requirements, driving projects from conception through to implementation, testing, and release.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement software solutions with deterministic timing and safety requirements.

  • Take ownership of development work, driving projects from initial concept through implementation, testing, and release.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into efficient, reliable code.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Minimum of four (4) years of work experience in software development in power systems, energy storage, or related fields.

  • Experience with embedded systems or real-time software development.

  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in C++ (primary language) and Go.

  • Experience with Linux operating systems.

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).

  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.

  • Experience with power systems, grid-connected assets, or energy storage systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Durham, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
