This role is responsible for leading end-to-end solution design, building scalable data models, and making architectural decisions to support complex telecom data ecosystems.

Data Modeling & Database Design:

  • Develop robust conceptual, logical, and physical data models for telecom datasets, including CDRs, network performance metrics, service assurance, customer 360, billing, and provisioning.
  • Optimize data models for high-performance analytics in BigQuery and cloud-scale environments.
  • Collaborate with ETL/ELT teams to translate data models into efficient, scalable implementations.
  • Maintain comprehensive data documentation, including data dictionaries, lineage, and metadata.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance across all pipelines and systems.

Data Analysis & SQL:

  • Perform detailed data analysis to understand source systems and business requirements.
  • Write complex SQL queries for validation, profiling, and transformation of telecom datasets.
  • Ensure models support efficient querying, reporting, and analytics use cases.

Collaboration & Implementation:

  • Collaborate with data engineers and ETL/ELT teams to implement scalable data pipelines.
  • Work with business stakeholders and analysts to translate requirements into data models.
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Clearly communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and solution designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Lead & facilitate technical workshops, architecture discussions, and data model review sessions.

Solution Architecture (GCP, SQL, Telecom):

  • Design and help deliver end-to-end data models and solutions on GCP aligned with telecom business needs and technical requirements.
  • Establish design standards, frameworks, best practices, and reusable design patterns for telecom workloads.
  • Help in design and architecture reviews, ensure compliance with enterprise standards, and drive modernization initiatives from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
  • strong SQL and analytical skills to support solution design and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical).
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP tools such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow.
  • Knowledge of telecom data domains (CDR, network, billing, customer).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with real-time data processing (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
  • Understanding of TM Forum standards (SID, eTOM).
  • Experience in cloud migration projects (on-prem to GCP).
  • Exposure to AI/ML use cases in telecom analytics.
