Job description

The Enterprise Data and Platform Security Engineer protects sensitive data across endpoints, networks, cloud services, and enterprise platforms by designing, implementing, and operating data protection controls. This role partners with security, infrastructure, application, legal, privacy, and business teams to reduce the risk of data loss, improve governance, support regulatory compliance, and strengthen the organization’s overall security posture. The role also is responsible for building and scaling security engineering capabilities across cloud infrastructure, identity systems, data services, Kubernetes and container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, and platform observability.

Requirements

· Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles (confidentiality, integrity, availability, least privilege, defense in depth), data protection, networking, operating systems, cloud fundamentals, and common threat vectors impacting enterprise IT environments.

· Deep familiarity with enterprise environments, ticketing systems, and documentation practices.

· Strong exposure to SIEM, DLP, or endpoint monitoring tools, with the ability to navigate dashboards and review complex security alerts.

· Strong ability to interpret logs from systems such as Active Directory, VPN, endpoint, and cloud platforms to identify anomalous activity.

· Independently investigate complex incidents, including building timelines, gathering evidence, and documenting findings.

· Strong ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for leadership, including executive briefings, risk summaries, and program recommendations.

· Strong ability to manage multiple alerts or tasks simultaneously, prioritize based on risk, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
