The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with enterprise switching and routing, firewall administration, VLAN design, network security, and manufacturing (IT/OT) network architecture., * Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including core and access switches, routers, and firewalls, across the Goodyear facility.

  • Implement and manage VLAN segmentation, trunking, and inter-VLAN routing to support both corporate IT and manufacturing OT (MES, AGV) network requirements.
  • Design and maintain network segmentation between IT and OT (Manufacturing, MES, and AGV) environments to ensure security, isolation, and operational reliability.
  • Configure and support high-availability network architecture, including HA firewall pairs, redundant core switching (MLAG/VRRP), and failover testing.
  • Support and maintain site-to-site VPN connectivity between U.S. manufacturing facilities and the India headquarters, ensuring secure and reliable communication.
  • Administer firewall policies, access control lists, 2FA/MFA hardening, and security configurations on perimeter and internal firewalls.
  • Evaluate, deploy, and maintain point-to-point (P2P) wireless bridge links for inter-building and inter-facility connectivity.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using network monitoring tools; proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoot complex connectivity, latency, and performance issues across switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless network infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, including IP address schemas, VLAN assignments, switch/port mapping, network diagrams, and firewall rule sets.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors on structured cabling, patch panel labeling, network cabinet cleanup, and infrastructure installation projects.
  • Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team on VAPT findings, network-related remediation efforts, and ongoing security compliance.
  • Support the network aspects of IT infrastructure projects, plant buildouts, system migrations, and equipment cutovers.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, network security policies, and infrastructure best practices.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior network engineers and IT staff.
  • Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and on-call support as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or enterprise network administration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise switches, routers, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, HP/Aruba, FortiGate, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in VLAN design, routing protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN networking.
  • Experience with firewall administration, site-to-site and remote-access VPN configuration, and network security best practices.
  • Experience with IT/OT network segmentation in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools.
  • Familiarity with structured cabling, patch panels, and network documentation standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
