Requirements

We are looking for a strong hands-on Sr. Onshore Developer to join one of the onshore scrum teams within the Claims Modernization product line. The role will focus on designing, developing, testing, and supporting scalable Java/Spring Boot services and API-based integrations in an Agile delivery environment. The ideal candidate should be technically strong, comfortable working with distributed teams, and demonstrate potential to grow into a lead role by guiding developers, contributing to design discussions, and ensuring engineering best practices.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, enhance, and support Java/Spring Boot applications, microservices, and RESTful APIs for claims modernization initiatives.Participate actively in Agile scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, technical grooming, estimation, demos, and retrospectives.Translate business requirements, user stories, and technical designs into high-quality, maintainable code.Work with MuleSoft/integration teams to implement and consume APIs, integrations, queues, and data exchange patterns as needed.Must-Have Skills6+ years in application development, with strong recent hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices-based services.Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, API design, exception handling, logging, and secure coding practices.Experience with SQL and/or relational databases; ability to write, analyze, and optimize queries as needed.Working knowledge of CI/CD, Git-based source control, build/deployment pipelines, and Agile engineering practices.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills:

MuleSoft experience, including API-led connectivity, Mule flows, DataWeave, connectors, API Manager, and integration troubleshooting.Prior experience in healthcare claims, claims adjudication, claims modernization, payer systems, or related healthcare domain areas.Knowledge of cloud-native development, containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, PCF/Tanzu, or similar deployment platforms.Exposure to messaging/event-driven architecture such as Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ, or equivalent platforms.Lead potential: ability to provide technical guidance, review designs/code, mentor developers, and coordinate delivery tasks.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
