Job description
Supervise and provide guidance to Contractor, monitor & track job progress, coordinate
field construction activities. Resolve Construction issues related to field conditions, inter discipline conflicts, long
term maintenance issues and life cycle costs.
Act as a facilitator between the Contractor, Designers, User Departments and
Maintenance groups.
Resolve field conditions in an expeditious manner and provide input / suggested
solutions, obtain formal approval from design engineers when necessary.
Monitor budgets, TA services usage and schedules, identify any potential shortfalls and
take necessary action to prevent negative impact on critical path.
Identify needs for General Orders and other services and make sure that they are provided to contractor on timely basis
Initiate General Orders, operate under flagging / General Orders and be able to properly
close General Orders.
Inspect work in progress, identify and inform contractors of deficiencies or concerns in a
timely manner.
Prepare daily reports, formal punch-lists, informal / running punch-lists.
Prepare formal punchlists and ensure completion of punch list
Conduct joint pre-and final inspections with Contractors and other trade groups.
Develop estimates, process and manage scope and change orders.
- Other Work Requirements
Consultants are required to take and pass a one-day NYC Transit Track Safety
Training Course Required prior to participating in work on or near the wayside; must
maintain this qualification for the duration of this assignment.
Consultants are responsible for providing their safety work boots meeting the required
specifications prior to work on or near wayside at own expense.
Consultants must possess a 30-hour OSHA Certificate prior to work on or near wayside
and maintain certificate for the duration of service.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Data Telecommunications, or Computer
Science; or
Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Data Telecommunications, or Computer
Science; plus, two years of related experience.
- Experience Requirements:
Minimum of three years of satisfactory experience in supervising employees performing project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, on engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects.

Special Skills/Training Requirements:
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is preferred but equivalent college education
can be considered substitutable
Preferred, but not required experience with data telecommunication network deployment
or communications applications, such as: CCTV, PSLAN, PA/CIS, Electronic Access
Control or Video Management Systems (VMS), or Physical Security Information
Systems (PSIM).
Experience in analytic planning or operational, technical and/or administrative duties.
Knowledge of engineering processes and practical experience.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel
Proficiency in the English language with the ability to clearly write, communicate and
organize project information, reports, process design/construction contract-related
