Job description
Argo Cyber Systems is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) delivering advanced cybersecurity, cloud engineering, incident response, and cyber operations support to U.S. Government agencies. We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer / Cloud Solutions Architect to support a high-visibility DHS cyber mission providing onsite incident response and cloud engineering support to Federal civilian agencies and critical infrastructure organizations., The Senior Cloud Engineer serves as the technical lead for designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure supporting incident response and cyber operations. The ideal candidate combines deep AWS engineering experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automation, DevSecOps, and cloud security expertise., Design secure, scalable AWS cloud architectures supporting incident response operations.
Lead migration of legacy on-premises capabilities into AWS cloud environments.
Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
Build automated provisioning and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Implement cloud-native security controls, encryption, IAM, logging, and network segmentation.
Collaborate with DevOps engineers to enhance automation and deployment processes.
Support Kubernetes, ECS, and containerized workloads.
Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure during active cyber operations.
Produce architecture documentation and technical guidance.
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship.
Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
Ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of professional IT experience.
5+ years designing and implementing AWS cloud architectures.
Strong AWS expertise including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, Route 53, CloudWatch, ELB, Auto Scaling, and Systems Manager.
Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting DHS or other Federal civilian agencies.
Incident Response or Cybersecurity Operations experience.
Azure and hybrid cloud architecture experience.
Splunk experience.
Kubernetes, Docker, Amazon ECS.
FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-171 familiarity.
Experience migrating enterprise environments to AWS.
Preferred Certifications
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (Preferred), CISSP, CCSP, GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA), or Security+
