Systems Engineer II

Under limited supervision, the Systems Engineer II responsible for the design and build of custom automation systems. The Systems Engineer II collaborates with other employees to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems. The Systems Engineer II effectively communicate system solutions, and assists in the evaluation of applications for viability, considering risk and complexity.\n \n \nJOB DUTIES\n \n \n

• Performs engineering calculations, investigations and tasks as assigned.\n
• Responsible for project management, communicating requirements, establishing timelines and coordinating activities with customer requirements for orders.\n
• Collaborates with other employees to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems\n
• Prepares reports, graphs, planning layouts and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results.\n
• Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills and training.\n
• Recommends and designs components and systems of components working together to meet customer specifications for size, layout and performance.\n
• Develops system level proposals for automations systems.\n
• Evaluates applications for viability, considering risk, complexity and commercial aspects.\n
• Oversees build costs, ensuring delivery of systems as budgeted, achieving profit margin rates as built.\n
• Develops standard system packages to target high potential vertical markets.\n
• Oversees system build and delivery, ensures delivery of quality systems, and customer satisfaction.\n
• May provide technical writing and functional explanations of how components work and are integrated into industrial machinery.\n
• May help improve production methods, determine manufacturing capacity and set up production schedules.\n
• Performs other duties as assigned.\n

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field\n
• Two (2) to five (5) years of related experience.\n, * Knowledge of mechanical design software, machine controls, vision systems, precision motion control, robotics.\n
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.\n
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.\n
• Works as a key member of cross functional teams & must display a can-do attitude that sets an example for others.\n
