Job description

This technical specialist will work on a wide variety of IT and security system technologies. This position is responsible for the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure, as well as providing end user support for that infrastructure. This position involves all aspect of IT infrastructure including operating systems, virtualization, LAN/WAN, storage, and security. This position also requires individuals who are willing to validate designed solutions in a hands-on environment and work in a team to build and test the systems they design in a lab environment. Requirements include:

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • Security+ Certification is required., * Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Identify and understand the speech of another person.

Requirements

  • High School with 12-14 Years of Experience
  • CEH Certification is a plus.
  • Project and team oriented - committed to excellence, to successful and timely task completion
  • Proficiency with various operating systems (Win 7 / 10, Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016)
  • Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy Management, and Accounts Administration Experience
  • Experience and proficiency with VMware products, including Hypervisor, ESXi, vCenter and vSphere Client
  • Experience and proficiency with Nessus (Security Center), ACAS scanning, SCAP scanning & reviewing, and Retina vulnerability reports
  • Experience with SCCM Admin Console, creating and deploying packages
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, SolarWinds, SCOM) and inventory tools (BelManage - Belarc)
  • Experience with OCSP certificate validation software (Axway/Tumbleweed & Microsoft Online Responder)
  • Knowledge of editing Menu Programs, Batch Files, and System Files; proficiency with DOS and PowerShell commands for day-to-day administration
  • Vulnerability Remediation, Patch Management Plan, and Mitigation Plan Experience Experience
  • System (Hardware) Build-out, Troubleshooting and Replacement Experience
