Job description

Job Description: The Linux/UNIX System Administrator will manage and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves managing system resources, performing proactive system maintenance, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting cloud-based Linux environments. The administrator will also provide guidance and training to junior team members and assist with system migrations., * Administer Linux/UNIX-based systems, including RedHat and Solaris, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Perform proactive space management, scalability improvements, and implement high-availability strategies.
Support system migrations, including physical-to-virtual conversions and cloud integrations.
Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Troubleshoot complex system issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure system uptime.
Develop and document scripts for automation of administrative tasks.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in Linux/UNIX system administration.
Strong knowledge of RedHat 7.x, Solaris, and other Linux variants.
Certifications: Security+ required, RHCSA, RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) preferred.
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Oracle (Solaris) Certified Associate and/or Red Hat Certified System Administrator
