Programming & Web Development Instructor

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Chapter 74 Programming & Web Development (9-14) Instructor to deliver a DESE-aligned program that prepares students for careers in programming, IT support, hardware, networking, and related technology fields. This position emphasizes instruction in IT fundamentals, including hardware, networking, operating systems, and systems administration, while supporting students in earning industry-recognized credentials.

Do you have experience in Web development?, Do you have a Trade school?, Given the needs of the program, candidates with strong backgrounds in IT hardware, networking, and systems administration are highly encouraged to apply. Preferred qualifications include industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CySA+, Project+, or equivalent; hands-on experience with computer hardware installation, configuration, and repair; and experience working with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and server administration.

Candidates who hold, or are eligible to obtain, a Massachusetts Chapter 74 license in Programming & Web Development or Information Support Services & Networking (ISSN) are encouraged to apply., + Associate’s degree or higher degree related to the subject matter and skills to be taught

• Four years of full-time employment experience directly related to programming & web development
• The required associate’s degree or higher degree would include at least 18 credits in subject matter related to the technical strand of the Vocational Technical Education Framework in programming & web development* A person with an associate or higher degree without 18 credits in such subject matter must obtain 18 college credits in order to receive credit toward the licensure requirements for the required associate or higher degree related to the subject matter and skills to be taught.
• A bachelor’s degree may substitute for one of four years of required employment experience, provided that the degree includes subject matter related to the Technical Knowledge and Skills strand (Strand 2) of the Vocational Technical Education Framework in Programming & Web Development*, and/or in vocational education
• A master’s degree may substitute for one of the four years of required employment experience, provided that the degree includes subject matter related to the Technical Knowledge and Skills strand (Strand 2) of the Vocational Technical Education Framework in Programming & Web Development*, and/or in vocational education Instruction will be in accordance with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Vocational Technical Education Frameworks for Programming & Web Development.
