INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER I

Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager II, the Information Technology Manager I (ITM) shall implement strategic direction established by the ITM II and provide operational oversight of enterprise technology services. The ITM provides managerial oversight through Information Technology Specialist I and II staff responsible for the planning, implementation, support, and maintenance of assigned technology domains, fostering a high-performing team of 11 State employees. The team manages a diverse hybrid technology environment encompassing cloud services, enterprise productivity and collaboration platforms (including systemwide Google Enterprise implementations), identity and access management, application development, and emerging artificial intelligence capabilities. In addition to personnel management responsibilities, ITM provides leadership and oversight for contractors, consultants, and other external service providers. The incumbent acts as a critical leader in driving large-scale change management initiatives, ensuring workforce readiness, comprehensive staff training, and operational continuity during major enterprise platform transitions.
