Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer with strong Python and Linux expertise to support the development, integration, and maintenance of enterprise applications in a mission-focused environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, automating processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, stakeholders, and operational teams to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions that support critical business and mission objectives., Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise software solutions.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze system workflows, and identify technical solutions.
  • Evaluate technical requirements and determine the feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Analyze existing systems and applications, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement enhancements.
  • Create and execute testing strategies to support application quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain architecture documentation, system diagrams, and data flow documentation.
  • Communicate technical findings, project updates, and recommendations to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Support Agile development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and task tracking.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to meet project schedules and deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Contribute innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • 4+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise software applications.
  • Strong programming experience with Python (preferred), C++, JavaScript.
  • Strong Linux administration and command-line experience.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
  • Experience working with DevSecOps tools and processes such as GitLab and Jira.
  • Experience creating architecture diagrams, system designs, and data flow diagrams.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills., Active Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of enterprise software development experience.
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React.
  • Experience with automation platforms such as Ansible.
  • Experience working with: Airflow, Django, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with geospatial technologies and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Experience in computer vision, computer graphics, or image processing technologies.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense environments.
