Job description

We are seeking a Senior Elastic Engineer to join our Professional Services team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert with deep experience designing, deploying, and optimizing Elastic Stack solutions in complex enterprise environments. This role requires strong engineering, automation, and cloud expertise, along with the ability to collaborate directly with clients and internal teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure observability and search platforms. As a Senior Elastic Engineer, you will work alongside engineering, DevOps, cloud, and client stakeholders to build and maintain high-performance Elastic environments across on-premises, cloud, and containerized infrastructures.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Elastic Stack environments, including Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats, and Fleet.
  • Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines, indexing strategies, search capabilities, dashboards, and automation workflows.
  • Develop scripts and integrations using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and other automation tools to streamline operations and monitoring.
  • Deploy and manage Elastic solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and GovCloud.
  • Implement and support containerized deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
  • Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Integrate Elastic with enterprise tools including SIEM platforms, security telemetry solutions, Splunk, CrowdStrike, and cloud-native services.
  • Monitor platform health, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize system reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Lead technical design discussions and provide guidance on Elastic architecture and best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, deployment standards, and operational procedures.
  • Stay current with emerging Elastic technologies, certifications, and industry trends.

Requirements

Active Secret Security Clearance (minimum requirement).

  • U.S. Passport with the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Deep hands-on experience with the Elastic Stack: Elasticsearch Kibana Logstash Beats Fleet

  • Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies. Experience designing, deploying, administering, and optimizing production-scale Elastic environments.

  • Strong understanding of observability, logging, monitoring, metrics, and distributed systems.
  • Experience working with Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to mentor engineers and influence architecture decisions across teams., Experience with Elastic Security, SIEM technologies, EDR platforms, or cybersecurity operations.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
  • Strong background in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or cloud engineering.
  • Experience integrating Elastic with security and endpoint telemetry platforms such as CrowdStrike.
  • Experience designing enterprise observability frameworks and operational dashboards.
  • Familiarity with competing technologies such as Splunk, OpenSearch, Solr, Lucene, Graylog, Datadog, and Elastic Cloud offerings.
