Job description

Summary: Installs, operates and conducts high level repairs to computer systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintains network operating systems.
  • Maintains virtual server environment.
  • Secures system data via backup operation.
  • Creates and maintains Active Director Accounts.
  • Administration of telecommunications phone systems, administers audio visual equipment, setup and removal of AV equipment for events.
  • Troubleshoots complex system problems and provides high level support to users.
  • Maintains job logs and distributes reports to end users.
  • Receives and responds to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding PC and/or hardware problems.
  • Utilizes the incident reporting system as designed for problem reporting and change management accurately documents instances of hardware failure, repair, installation and removal.
  • Follows and enforces all departmental standards, security, run instructions, backup, and recovery and shift turnover procedures.
  • Supervises and develops technical skills of IT technicians.
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or technical school certificate
  • Three or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, Microsoft Desktop Operation Systems, Microsoft Server Operating System, Data Backup Utilities, Helpdesk Software, VMware, Cisco/Avaya Phone Systems and PC Hardware.
  • A-Plus, MCSE or CNA certification preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stand and walk.
  • Frequently required to stoop, and kneel.
  • Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Able to interact with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor.
