PeopleSoft Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION: Customer replacing legacy system with PeopleSoft financial and related modules. A critical phase of the project is the design and development of conversion and interface programs to/from PeopleSoft from/to legacy administrative systems. This position is responsible for the design, development, testing and documentation of conversion and interface programs for the project. This position will work closely with functional and technical subject matter experts to ensure that conversions and interfaces meet specifications and adhere to project and company standards and guidelines. Additional roles for this position include working closely with other technical team members to analyze the impact of application updates, fixes and customizations on the data conversion and interface efforts, and the development migration strategies to support an aggressive implementation schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, business administration or related field and/or 2-5 years experience in an Information Technology field. Minimum 1-2 years experience designing and creating conversion and interface programs with PeopleSoft is required. Demonstrated expertise with Oracle database required. Demonstrated expertise with Informatica’s PowerCenter/PowerMart is desired. Demonstrated expertise with UNIX is desired. Demonstrated analytical ability, including the ability to think systematically and to clearly articulate and effectively advocate sound solutions to complex problems. Ability to work in complex, diverse office environment with rapidly changing priorities. Good organizational and interpersonal skills required. Good written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate in both technical and non-technical environments.
