WordPress Developer

Southwest Weddings is seeking a dependable WordPress Web Developer to provide ongoing website support and occasional development projects. This is a flexible, remote position ideal for a freelancer or developer looking for supplemental work., * Maintain and update WordPress websites.

• Build and customize pages using WordPress themes, plugins, and page builders (Themeco X/Cornerstone experience preferred).
• Troubleshoot website issues, plugin conflicts, and technical errors.
• Write and modify HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP as needed.
• Configure and integrate WordPress plugins and third-party applications.
• Assist with WooCommerce functionality and updates.
• Optimize websites for performance, responsiveness, SEO, and security.
• Perform routine website maintenance, backups, and updates.
• Recommend improvements to enhance functionality and user experience.

• Experience building and maintaining WordPress websites.
• Proficiency with WordPress, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with page builders and custom WordPress themes.
• Familiarity with WooCommerce.
• Working knowledge of MySQL and WordPress databases.
• Understanding of website performance optimization and SEO best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage small projects with minimal supervision., * Experience with Themeco X Theme / Cornerstone.
• Experience with website migrations, hosting environments, SSL certificates, and DNS management.
• Familiarity with Git or GitHub.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and marketing platforms.
• College Degree (Associate’s or above)
