Job description
- Legacy Analysis: Reverse-engineer legacy service behaviors, interfaces, data flows, and dependencies.
- Microservice Engineering: Decompose legacy ESB flows into modular Java/Spring Boot microservices tailored for OpenShift.
- Interface Preservation: Preserve 100% interface compatibility for consumer applications during migration waves.
- Migration Waves: Produce legacy-to-target mapping documentation, sequencing plans, dual-run support, and rollback strategies.
- Testing & Standards: Perform contract testing, produce developer validation evidence, and establish reusable modernization templates.
Requirements
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- At least 2 years focused on legacy modernization or re-platforming efforts.
- Proven hands-on Java / Spring Boot microservice development.
- Technical Expertise:
- REST APIs, microservice design patterns, and interface contract testing.
- OpenShift or Kubernetes deployment patterns and containerization.
- Legacy integration patterns (ESB, SOAP, batch/file interfaces; webMethods exposure is a plus).
- Clearance & Security:
- Must possess U.S. work authorization.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Moderate Risk Public Trust (MBI level)
