In this role, you will work on integrating key systems, with a strong preference for candidates who have successfully integrated complex systems within healthcare settings using Mirth HL7 Engine. A robust development background, exceptional debugging skills, and current expertise in FHIR are highly valued. Skills and qualifications (mandatory): * HL7 Integration & Interface Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain HL7 interfaces to enable seamless data exchange between internal systems and external partners.
  • Lead integration projects involving claims and payment systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Development & Debugging:
  • Write, test, and debug code to support HL7 messaging and interface solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in HL7 message flows, ensuring high data integrity and system performance.
  • FHIR Integration:
  • Apply current FHIR standards to improve interoperability and enhance integration strategies.
  • Stay updated with the latest FHIR developments and best practices in healthcare data exchange.
  • Collaboration & Documentation:
  • Work closely with IT, development, and clinical teams to align integration solutions with business requirements.
  • Document interface designs, integration processes, and debugging procedures to support ongoing system maintenance and improvements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HL7 Engineer or in a similar role, with hands-on development and debugging skills.
  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience working with Mirth Connect or similar integration engines (e.g., Corepoint, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, eGate).
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating healthcare systems, with a preference for experience integrating Global Payments and Trizetto.
  • Strong familiarity with current FHIR standards and healthcare interoperability practices.
  • Proficiency in a programming language relevant to healthcare integration (e.g., PHP, Java, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of healthcare data workflows, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards such as HIPAA.
  • Additional knowledge of other healthcare data standards is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS services-specifically EC2 (Linux)-and working with RESTful APIs.
