Network Project Manager

Insight Global is partnering with a premier defense contractor supporting a large-scale, mission-critical network modernization initiative across multiple locations nationwide. We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead strategic WAN modernization and infrastructure transformation efforts supporting classified environments.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing program execution from planning through deployment, coordinating technical teams, managing schedules and budgets, tracking project performance through EVMS, and ensuring successful delivery across multiple sites. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in fast-paced defense environments and has a strong background driving complex network and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise WAN modernization and network transformation initiatives across multiple locations Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, resources, and deliverables using EVMS best practices Coordinate network engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution Track and communicate project status to leadership, stakeholders, and customer representatives Facilitate planning sessions, project reviews, risk assessments, and milestone tracking Manage project documentation, resource planning, and change management processes within Microsoft Project, Planview, Jira, and Confluence Ensure delivery timelines, technical requirements, and customer objectives are met throughout the project lifecycle Drive issue resolution and proactively identify risks impacting schedule, scope, or cost

7+ years of IT Project Management experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, networking, or classified technology programs Proven success leading network modernization, WAN transformation, SD-WAN deployments, or large-scale infrastructure refresh efforts Experience managing projects within classified or highly regulated environments Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVMS), including cost, schedule, risk, and performance reporting Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project for scheduling, resource allocation, dependency management, and project tracking Experience leveraging Planview Portfolios, Jira, and Confluence for project execution and reporting Ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and drive projects through the full project lifecycle Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) PMP, CSM, RTE, or other project management certifications preferred
