Job description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer and Administrator to own the configuration, customization, development, and ongoing optimization of our Salesforce platform. This role combines hands-on administration with custom development and will partner closely with business stakeholders, project teams, QA, and DevOps to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.

What You’ll Do Salesforce Administration and Configuration

  • Manage users, profiles, roles, permission sets, sharing rules, and security settings.
  • Configure custom objects, fields, record types, Lightning pages, and page layouts.
  • Design and maintain Flows, approval processes, and other declarative automations.
  • Build reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for operational and leadership reporting.
  • Perform data imports, exports, cleansing, and validation using Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, and related tools.
  • Conduct routine data audits, backups, and quality checks to maintain accuracy, security, and compliance.

Development and Integration

  • Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, and scheduled processes.
  • Build Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages to extend Salesforce functionality.
  • Integrate Salesforce with external applications using APIs and middleware platforms.
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and support user acceptance testing.
  • Translate business requirements into maintainable, scalable technical solutions.

Deployment and Release Management

  • Coordinate deployments across development, sandbox, testing, and production environments.
  • Use Change Sets, Salesforce CLI/SFDX, and related deployment tools to manage releases.
  • Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and reduce release risk.
  • Maintain configuration, release, and deployment documentation.
  • Monitor solutions after deployment, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.

Collaboration and Support

  • Serve as a primary resource for Salesforce questions, incidents, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • Partner with business analysts, project managers, and end users to gather and refine requirements.
  • Deliver user training, maintain documentation, and promote Salesforce best practices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Platform Optimization and Governance

  • Monitor platform health, performance, security, and adoption.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve performance, and increase automation.
  • Evaluate Salesforce seasonal releases and implement relevant features.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational data governance, security, and documentation standards.
  • Document system configurations, architecture, integrations, and technical dependencies to support audit readiness.

Requirements

  • Four or more years of professional experience in combined Salesforce development and administration.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certification.
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator certification.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce Flow.
  • Experience managing Salesforce integrations, upgrades, and deployments across multiple environments.
  • Familiarity with Change Sets, Salesforce CLI/SFDX, CI/CD practices, and source-controlled development.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and supportable Salesforce solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on platform security, data quality, performance, and scalability.
