Job description

As a member of the QA team, you will ensure that the products produced at Plus One Robotics (POR), including hardware and software, are dependable and of the highest quality. You will apply system-level thinking to understand and design test procedures. You will be expected to bring rigor and thoroughness to the quality assurance process. You will work closely with developers, engineers, and product managers to identify issues and possible causes, and you will communicate testing results to both internal teams and customers. You will perpetuate a culture of the importance of QA and its impact on the business., * Be an advocate for our customers

  • Develop and apply hardware testing processes for new and existing products
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Capture test data, perform detailed analysis, and substantiate conclusions
  • Present QA data, test results, and analyses to stakeholders, including customers, leadership, and cross-functional teams, in a clear, accessible manner tailored to the audience
  • Engage directly with customers about POR products
  • Assist in the design and build of electro-mechanical test fixtures
  • Adhere to QA processes and/or suggest changes to improve existing processes
  • Mentor interns and junior-level teammates by sharing QA best practices, providing technical guidance, reviewing their work, and supporting their professional development
  • Ensure products are robust and reliable
  • Identify, document thoroughly, and track bugs
  • Must perform manual and hands-on testing, Some travel will be required for this position. Travel is expected to be limited but will include periodic visits to customer sites and deployment locations.

Requirements

  • Ability to think at a system level that includes software, electrical, and mechanical sub-systems
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Comfortable interacting and communicating directly with customers in a professional setting
  • Able to distill technical QA data and results into presentations that both technical and non-technical stakeholders can understand and act on
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly collaborative, adept in building relationships, and communicating with stakeholders at every level
  • Must be able to be an advocate for the product and the customer, even in the face of adversity

Required Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar field
  • 3-5 years of Hardware Test Engineer employment experience, including hardware and software testing
  • Familiar with one or more of the following programming languages: C++, Python, or TypeScript

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
