Job description

The Cloud DevOps & Security Implementation Engineer operationally owns, supports, and manages Rev.io’s production environments, CI/CD processes, and secure software delivery practices. This role partners closely with Engineering to improve reliability, delivery speed, and security, while advancing our workflows as we adopt AI-assisted development and agent-driven automation across the SDLC., * Operationally own, support, and manage Rev.io’s CI/CD environment, including Azure DevOps pipelines/deployments and GitHub integrations

  • Operationally own and support Rev.io’s source control and pull request workflows in GitHub
  • Implement and maintain security controls within the software delivery lifecycle, including GitHub Advanced Security (code scanning, secret scanning, and dependency/security alerts)
  • Assist in building and maintaining highly available systems through infrastructure-as-code
  • Create and maintain reusable standards and frameworks for CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
  • Partner with Engineering teams to integrate security and compliance requirements into build and release processes (secure-by-default pipelines, policy-as-code, and gated releases)
  • Support and expand automated monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks for production environments
  • Drive adoption of agent-driven and AI-assisted DevOps workflows (automation agents, CI/CD agents, and operational tooling that reduces manual effort and improves consistency)
  • Participate in incident response activities, including root cause analysis and preventive improvements
  • Take on special projects as necessary
  • Provide best practices and training for Engineering teams around automation, CI/CD, and secure software delivery

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with the Azure ecosystem (compute, identity, networking, and DevOps services)
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines and deployments (build/release automation, approvals, environments, and secrets/variables management)
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub for repositories and pull request workflows; experience with GitHub Advanced Security preferred
  • Linux and Windows server administration experience
  • Experience with production monitoring, logging, and alerting tools and frameworks
  • Experience implementing security controls in CI/CD and SDLC (vulnerability management, secrets management, least privilege, and auditability)
  • Experience writing automation tools and scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash, YAML, etc.)
  • Ability to collaborate with Engineering teams and work independently on projects
  • Strong time management skills and ability to problem-solve under pressure
  • Excellent judgment, teamwork, and communication skills (written and verbal), with strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility in work schedule as needs arise
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic

Preferred Skills

  • Experience designing, deploying, and operating containerized workloads on Azure Container Apps (revisions, scaling, ingress, networking, and secrets)
  • Experience hardening CI/CD systems and repositories (branch protections, CODEOWNERS, required checks, signed commits, least-privilege tokens, and artifact integrity)
  • Experience with policy-as-code and security automation (e.g., OPA/Conftest, SAST/DAST integration, SBOM generation/consumption, and dependency governance)
  • Experience with cloud security implementation in Azure (IAM, key management, logging/monitoring, and network controls)
  • Experience working in AI-assisted engineering environments where a large percentage of code is AI generated
  • Experience building or operating agent-driven automation for DevOps and security workflows (build/release agents, remediation automation, chat/ops agents, or similar)
  • Experience implementing best practices for AI-enabled development workflows (prompting standards, review patterns for AI-generated code, quality gates, and validation strategies)
  • Experience integrating AI workflows into CI/CD deployments (automated test generation, release note generation, pipeline copilots/agents, and automated remediation)
  • Experience establishing governance and controls for AI-generated changes (traceability, approvals, auditability, attribution, and secure handling of secrets/data)
  • Experience developing or maintaining internal tooling that enables AI/agent workflows (workflow orchestration, guardrails, sandboxing, and feedback loops)
  • Tuning and optimization of database management systems
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and guidelines
