Job description
Solution Architect required by a leading professional services organisation based in Bristol., As a Solution Architect, you’ll work closely with business stakeholders, project teams and technical specialists to translate business requirements into robust, end-to-end solution designs. You’ll be responsible for producing architecture documentation, defining integration strategies, supporting governance processes and ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture principles.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across infrastructure, applications, cloud technologies and data, whilst influencing technical direction across multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality High-Level Designs (HLDs) and, where appropriate, detailed Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
- Lead solution discovery activities and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Define integration approaches, APIs and data flows between enterprise platforms and business systems.
- Support architecture governance, technical design reviews and solution assurance activities.
- Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, resilience and operational support requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, delivery teams and third-party suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to architecture standards, best practice and reusable design patterns.
Requirements
We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect with broad technical knowledge rather than a specialist in a single discipline. You’ll be comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on solution design.
You’ll ideally have experience of:
- Producing High-Level and Low-Level Solution Designs.
- Designing enterprise-scale solutions across applications, infrastructure and data.
- Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
- API design, systems integration and modern integration patterns.
- Identity, security and architecture governance.
- Working with cross-functional teams to deliver business-focused technology solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience with digital infrastructure, connected technologies, operational systems or asset management environments would be advantageous, although this is by no means essential.

- Salary of 60,000 - 70,000
