Our client is seeking a talented Technical Infrastructure Architect for a temporary contract based in South-East London. If you have a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering safe and resilient solutions, we want to hear from you!, In this pivotal position, you will provide technical architecture leadership and design assurance for the Tech Fundamentals work stream. Your mission? Ensure that Safe & Legal Day-1 requirements are met, enabling staff to securely access core systems, applications, and data during the transition to new authorities., * Develop a current-state baseline of core infrastructure, dependencies, and risks across all councils.

Lead the assessment of legacy infrastructure and create assured transition and convergence options across key domains, including:
- Networking and connectivity
- Identity and access management
- Microsoft 365
- Telephony
- Cyber-security controls
- Produce technical design standards and decision records to facilitate consistent implementation.
- Manage technical risks, dependencies, and service continuity requirements effectively., This is your chance to make a real difference in the public sector! You will work closely with SMEs across councils and delivery partners, ensuring that transition designs are practical and deliverable. Requirements
- Expert knowledge in technical architecture, infrastructure, networking, and core services.
- Deep understanding of modern technology practises, including hosting, platforms, and open-source technologies.
- Applied knowledge of agile and DevOps practises.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to translate complex business needs into robust technical designs.
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven capability to coordinate technical work across multiple councils and teams.
- Commercial awareness in technology decision-making.
Essential Experience:
- Significant experience as a technical architect in large-scale, multi-organisation environments, ideally within the public sector.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing network, infrastructure, and identity integration solutions.
- Experience with risk assessment and operational assurance during major IT transitions.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of cross-government procurement frameworks.
- A commitment to reducing the environmental impact of technology.
- Experience working with diverse user groups and senior stakeholders.
