Job description
The EDI Analyst II is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes. This mid-level role requires a solid understanding of EDI standards, mapping, and transaction sets, as well as strong problem-solving skills. The Analyst will work with internal teams, external partners, and third-party providers to ensure accurate and timely exchange of business documents. This role entails working with other programs that may integration with or be used in conjunction with EDI. Programming required.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze, design, and implement EDI solutions to support business processes and trading partner requirements.
- Develop and maintain EDI maps.
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction errors, working with internal business units and external trading partners.
- Monitor daily EDI transaction flows (e.g., 850, 810, 856, 940, 997, etc.) and resolve any processing failures.
- Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and trading partners to resolve EDI-related issues.
- Collaborate on onboarding new trading partners and maintaining existing relationships.
- Maintain accurate documentation of EDI maps, trading partner configurations, and process flows.
- Ensure EDI operations comply with industry standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and HIPAA (if applicable).

Provide Tier II support for EDI-related inquiries and incidents.
- Participate in projects related to system integration, ERP upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Occasional on-call support may be required for critical EDI operations.
Requirements
- Current work in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on EDI experience in a business or technical analyst role.
- Proficiency with EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and EDI communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP, VAN).
- Experience with EDI mapping and translation software.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of supply chain, logistics, finance, or healthcare EDI transactions, depending on industry.
- At least 2 years Front and Back end website development. HTML/PHP/CSS/PHPSQL.
- Experience working with WMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Infor).

Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python, Shell) Sql required. Postgresql preferred for data extraction and manipulation.
- Project management or business analyst experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of APIs or hybrid EDI/API integrations.
- 3pl experience a plus.
- Python experience a plus.
- Javascript experience a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy.
- Team-oriented and proactive in problem resolution.
