Job description

We are working with a growing organisation seeking an experienced Mid-Level Cyber Security Analyst to join their expanding security function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-4 years’ hands-on security experience to take the next step in their career, working across threat detection, incident response, and security operations in a collaborative, fast-paced environment., * Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tooling

  • Support incident response activities, from initial triage through to resolution and reporting
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with technical teams
  • Assist with security control reviews and audits against frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and Cyber Essentials
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of security policies and procedures
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and, where required, third-party vendors on security matters
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practice

Requirements

  • 2-4 years’ experience in a cyber/information security role
  • Working knowledge of SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools
  • Understanding of network security fundamentals and common attack vectors
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of relevant frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Cyber Essentials)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical risk to non-technical stakeholders

Desirable

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CEH, Cyber Essentials Practitioner)
  • Scripting/automation experience (Python, PowerShell)
  • Exposure to incident response or digital forensics
