Requirements

2+ years experience as Data/Software Engineer

  • Bachelors degree in related field

  • Proficient with atleast two of these languages: Python(preferable), R, Scala, Go, Groovy,

  • Experience with Rest web services

  • Background with Sql and NoSQL Databases

  • Experience with Data ingestion tools

Great to have:

  • Masters degree/PHD in related field

  • Experience with Machine Learning Tools

  • Experience with AWS

  • Background with ETL tools and data wrangling

  • Experience with Kafka, Nifi, Spark or Hadoop

  • Background with Elastic Search and or Lucene

  • Containerization experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes

R&D division of a prominent DARPA partner, is hiring a Data Engineer for its Mclean based operations. This person will join an exclusive 12 person group of software engineers, data scientists and analysts who are collaborating to maximize large amounts of worldwide data. This position will feature: data ingestion, data wrangling, building cutting edge web applications, leading client application and data demo’s, as well as using modern analytical processing tools like Elastic Search, Nifi and Kafka.
