Job description

As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, this role focuses on advancing capabilities that transition system security evaluation and authorization from manual processes to a modern, automated framework. This includes streamlining workflows and approvals, enabling continuous monitoring and assessment, and enhancing network data collection across the full project lifecycle., The Database Engineer plays a key role in designing and delivering robust, cloud-based database solutions that support complex systems and mission objectives. This position leads the development and management of database architectures, ensuring alignment with overall system design while optimizing data storage, retrieval, and flow. The Database Engineer is also responsible for driving the creation of new workflows to replace legacy processes, supporting system updates and issue resolution, and overseeing database-related development efforts from project inception through completion.

Requirements

  • Python
  • Experience using MongoDB or MariaDB
  • Experience using Django or Flask
  • ReST endpoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Swagger
  • AWS, C2S or other cloud experience
  • Docker
  • Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (5 additional years of DBE experience without a degree); 10 years experience as a software/database engineer
