Job description

The Hardware Engineer in this position will perform assigned electrical engineering tasks including circuit and subsystem design, system integration, troubleshooting, wire harness design, electromechanical/electrical system testing, and data analysis. This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager, while working directly with Vehicle Technical Leads and Program Managers., * Work with the team to design and build subsystem/hardware/software for our aircraft systems

  • Prepare and create schematics, engineering drawings, test plans/procedures
  • Collaborate with mechanical, GNC, manufacturing, aerodynamic, procurement, quality assurance, and project/program management teams
  • Demonstrate and encourage adherence to best practices and standard procedures

Requirements

  • Proven understanding of Electrical Engineering principles
  • Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting, validating/testing, and analyzing subsystems/systems
  • Experience in documenting designs and analyses with written reports
  • Ability to design using CAD software such as Altium
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing robotic and/or aircraft systems
  • UAV experience highly desired
  • Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and firmware/software
  • Experience in small to medium sized teams in an R&D environment
  • Familiar with MIL spec hardware and harnessing standards

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3 - 5+ years of progressively responsible industry experience

Work Authorization Requirement: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $100,000 - $145,000 annually

Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
