Job description
The Data Analyst role will assist with statistical reporting, analysing, estimating, and auditing activities related to the delivery of both contracted support and discrete projects. At the core of this role is the delivery of insightful data analytics and data-driven solutions, aimed at elevating operational performance and identifying opportunities within both CAE services programs and the Customer’s organisation.
The Data Analyst will provide BI solutions mainly using Power BI but will also include development of data extraction, pre-processing and modelling tools, etc. to facilitate data entry, analysis, and dashboard reporting. This role will be key in transforming the reporting and decision making at a program level and is to be automated and useful for consumption by CAE and its customers., * The creation and maintenance of customer reporting dashboards for contract reporting requirements
- Define, develop and implement data analytics reports for external customers, program management and the PMO using business intelligence (BI) tools and data analysis techniques
- Analysis of current processes, tools and performance metrics and recommend continuous improvements
- Supporting data architecture mapping and creation of data models
- Performing monthly financial analysis for governance reviews, including identifying discrepancies
Requirements
Do you have experience in Power BI?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, data engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in data analytics
- Experience creating and managing dashboard, Power BI reporting tools, including but not limited to M, DAX, R, Python
- Ability to obtain/maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance - must be an Australian Citizen
- Ability to work to a hybrid nature, 2-3 days a week on-site at HMAS Watson, * Experience in database design and data modelling
- Proficiency across MS Project, Jira, Planisware, SharePoint
- Experience using MS Office Suite products or similar
