Job description

What You Will Do (Tech Support and System Administration):

  • Be available for daily IT, security, & curriculum support to all staff
  • Coordinate installation of technology (Newline boards, projectors, copiers, ect)
  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with administrators
  • Support staff and students in the use of technology for both administrative and classroom purposes (devices, software, and curriculum tools)
  • Provide training and guidance to staff to ensure effective use of educational technology
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot devices and systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Provide onsite tech support for standardized testing
  • Collaborate with state reporting specialist on student enrollment and student data management in SIS
  • Coordinate with the Operations Department in sending emergency family notifications, managing tech inventory and tech management
  • Manage device inventory, updates, and distribution
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the asset management system (Mosyle)
  • What You Will Do (Tech Inventory and Management):
  • Maintain and manage all technology inventory
  • Audit user privileges and access on a monthly basis
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding repair timelines and costs
  • Provide onboarding technology training for new staff
  • Support cybersecurity efforts, including anti-spam measures and staff training completion
  • Collect and manage media permission forms and related documentation
  • Administer and maintain cloud-based systems (e.g., camera systems and other platforms)
  • Assign profiles and applications to school-owned devices via an MDM system (Mosyle or similar)
  • Manage Google Groups and email distribution lists
  • Oversee and support various IT systems, including cybersecurity tools, copiers, and other infrastructure

Requirements

What You Will Need: Bachelor degree or 2 years of technical helpdesk experience, or An equivalent combination of education, training and experience Experience working with technology and end-user support

These Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Would be Good to Have: Familiarity with Apple devices and Chromebooks Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Experience with Mosyle or other Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems Understanding of cybersecurity best practices Experience working in a school or educational environment Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset Ability to assess needs and implement effective, organized solutions
