Innovation and Technology Parts Specialist II*

The Innovation and Technology Department is recruiting for an Innovation and Technology Parts Specialist II. Under direction of the parts supervisor, this position will assist the parts team and supervisor to perform lead duties in parts warehouse operations. Duties may include but are not limited to: researches, orders, prepares, receives, and issues parts on work orders for a wide variety of equipment; negotiates best prices for parts and warranties; maintains computerized inventory systems and parts stock levels; locates vehicle and equipment parts, as needed. Pre-Employment Process: Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history & education check, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.

Physical: Position requires the ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and work above the shoulder; must be able to move and lift up to 75 pounds. Employees work outside occasionally and are exposed to electricity, chemicals, heat, oil, odors, dust, gas, and noise.

Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.

Availability: Incumbents are subject to 24-hour call backs to support operational emergencies. Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet the experience requirement in order to qualify.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience working in a Technology parts delivery type environment. Experience must include primary responsibility for researching electronic/telecommunication related parts, costs, delivery methods, stocking and retrieving inventory, and maintaining tracking of parts., Forklift experience and using Internet search engines to research and locate parts is highly desirable. Work experience in Telecommunication, Information Technology, or Electronic parts research and procurement is also highly desirable.
