Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer to join an enterprise healthcare client focused on a consumer application called Health 100. This role will support the development of a customer-facing portal while also contributing to backend engineering initiatives across the broader analytics platform. Approximately half of the workload will focus on frontend portal development, with the remaining time dedicated to backend engineering and team support activities. This application is particularly focused on providing B2B insights, mainly for few a clients in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The environment is fast-paced, growing, and centered around greenfield development efforts. New requirements are continuously being added, fueling the need for additional engineers. This is expected to be a long term, multi-year engagement., * Build and enhance a customer-facing web portal.

  • Develop user interfaces using React and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated design team to implement approved user experiences.
  • Contribute to backend development efforts, including SQL-, Python-, and data-related engineering work.
  • Support development of services and other platform capabilities.
  • Participate in ongoing feature enhancements following the initial MVP release.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional development experience with React for front end development.
  • Ability to contribute across both frontend UI and backend data engineering initiatives.
  • Experience with SQL and Python for back end development.
  • Ability to work independently.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to data engineering concepts and workflows.
  • Experience building frontend applications from early-stage or MVP environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based development environments.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day engineering work.
  • Passion for identifying and building workflow efficiencies with AI technologies.
