Computer-Aided Design Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) Computing Platforms Programming Tools BricsCAD

Job description

Bricsys is building the most open and extensible CAD platform in the industry. Platform Technology is the team that makes that possible, through a growing API and SDK surface that lets developers, ISVs, and enterprise partners build applications directly on BricsCAD. We are hiring a dedicated Product Owner to lead the API/SDK R&D team of six engineers, giving this domain the focused product ownership it needs to accelerate., * Own the API/SDK R&D backlog end-to-end: prioritisation, planning, stakeholder alignment, and delivery accountability

  • Define and maintain a commercially-driven API roadmap that expands BricsCAD’s developer surface, based on inputs from partner engagements, ecosystem signals, and competitive intelligence

  • Work closely with the team to translate active partner requirements into API priorities, ensuring what gets built unlocks real commercial opportunities

  • Ensure new API capabilities are developer-ready at release: documented, promoted, and available to the BricsCAD Developer community via self-service methods

  • Define and track the right metrics with the team: API adoption, new developer partner activations, time-to-first-integration, and downstream seat attachment rates

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product ownership or product management experience in a software platform, developer tools, or API-facing product

  • A demonstrated ability to own a technical R&D backlog: you are comfortable writing detailed specifications, challenging engineering estimates, and making hard prioritisation calls

  • Experience working with external developers or partners as the primary customer - you understand what makes an API easy to build on, and what makes it a barrier to adoption

  • Strong commercial instincts - you intrinsically connect API capability decisions to revenue outcomes, not just technical considerations

  • Excellent stakeholder management across both technical and commercial audiences; you can present your roadmap to Developers or to a Corporate Leader, each at the right level, while maintaining a consistent message.

  • Familiarity with the CAD, AEC, or engineering software industry is a plus but not required - intellectual curiosity about the domain and the willingness to go deep matters most

  • Fluent English is a necessity; Dutch or other European languages are a bonus
