Job description
We currently have a vacancy for a Delivery Area Integration and Test Engineer working on a flagship programme in the UK.
The role will include responsibility for Designing, Development and Maintenance of test scripts and Test Reporting using both industry standard Manual and Automation test suites and custom developed frameworks.
The testing process will follow a hybrid Waterfall and Agile development and release process that supports critical customer mission goals around National Security using manual and automated testing techniques and tools.
Responsible for conducting analysis of requirements and designs, and from this developing a risk-based test approach to provide test assurance in support of our change pipeline. Employees may also support business process improvements or systems analysis for missions, systems, and fiscal requirements, * Contribution to Detailed Test Plans, Summary of Test (Draft), Summary of Test (Final), Test Completion Reports
- Development of the Test Designs, Test cases, Test Data and Test Tooling
- Contribution to the Requirements Traceability Matrix for Test specific attributes (e.g. Verification Methods, Test Stages, Verification Approach, Test Evidence and Test Compliance (Test Results)).
- Conduct of Test Execution tasks, along with Analysis and Reporting
- Raising Defects based on test Execution outcomes, and updating defects from the result of testing
- Status reporting of progress to Test Lead(s)
- Quality checks of Test materials produced by Leidos Test engineers (Test Scripts, Test Data, Test Evidence, Defects)
- Identifying Test Process improvement and making recommendations to the Test Lead(s)
Requirements
- Awareness of the Testing Lifecycle and the different types of testing such as Functional and Integration Testing.
- Awareness Systems Integration including integrating 3rd party systems or components.
- Able to understand existing Test Process and identify improvements and efficiencies
- Provide test estimation for test preparation and executions tasks
- Awareness of creating Test Design and Cases based on requirements and design documents.
- Experience of test execution, test results analysis and status reporting
- Knowledge or experience Hybrid (Agile, Iterative & Waterfall) workload management and bug tracking (e.g. Jira, BitBucket, or similar).
- Moderate oral and written communication skills - ability to communicate with technical team members
- Self-motivated and willing to speak to colleagues to address dependencies, knowledge gaps and progress defects
- Experience of working within a wider test team to achieve test outcomes
- Self-motivated and willing to speak to colleagues to find out missing information.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Functional and Non Functional testing of integrated systems.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools.
- Negative testing concepts and risk assessment reporting.
Clearance Requirements: Successful candidates will be required to be willing and able to obtain UK Security Clearances - this requires a minimum of 5 years residency in the UK
