Test Automation Engineer Newcastle Upon Tyne (5 days onsite) Salary: £40,000£100,000 Were supporting a rapidly growing financial technology organisation as they continue to build out their engineering capability, delivering innovative technology solutions across financial services and capital markets. They are looking for talented Test Automation Engineers to join a collaborative engineering team responsible for delivering a high-performance trading platform into production safely and efficiently. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced Software Engineers, Quants, and Infrastructure teams, helping design automated testing solutions, improve engineering processes, and deliver technology that supports critical business operations. What youll be working on: Taking ownership of technical projects and testing processes Designing and developing automated testing solutions Building and maintaining test frameworks and automation processes Working closely with Software Engineering

Requirements

Infrastructure, and business teams Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and delivery standards Applying technical judgement to understand business requirements and deliver effective solutions Staying up to date with emerging technologies and engineering practices What theyre looking for: Experience with a high-level programming language such as: C# Java Python Experience with test automation frameworks such as: Selenium Playwright Cypress Cucumber Strong understanding of software testing principles and automation practices Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams A proactive mindset with a passion for solving complex problems Strong interest in technology and continuous learning A STEM degree (ideally from a Russell Group university) with a minimum 2:1 classification is preferred.
