Job description

Our culture, based on trust and mutual respect, allows our employees to thrive professionally and actively contribute to the company’s success. By unleashing the potential of each individual, we boost collective performance and equip ourselves to meet the challenges of a constantly evolving market.

You will join Qair’s Energy Management team, which is developing a new sales and trading activity on electricity markets. At the intersection of data, renewable asset optimization, and trading, the team drives the valuation of multi-technology portfolios (solar, wind, storage) and supports the evolution of Qair’s energy model toward a more integrated, market-driven approach.

As a Data Analyst - Power Markets, you will transform market data into operational insights to support the trading teams’ decision-making. Your role covers the full analytical chain: collecting, structuring, analyzing, and visually presenting market data, with a focus on continuous performance improvement.

The position is based in Paris, with no travel required. Following the end of the trial period, a planned on-call arrangement will be implemented, involving one Saturday and one Sunday per month, with equivalent compensation.

You are looking for a stimulating and empowering challenge, where innovation is rewarded?

Join us and unleash your potential!

Main Tasks

As a Data Analyst - Power Markets, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Collect, structure, and validate market data (prices, volumes, production, consumption, weather);
  • Produce regular analyses on market dynamics across intraday, spot, and forward timeframes (liquidity, shape, volatility, spreads, intraday patterns);
  • Identify and analyze market opportunities and anomalies from data;
  • Contribute to measuring trading strategy performance (PnL, risk, KPIs);
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of data tools (quality, automation, visualization);
  • Collaborate with trading and IT teams to integrate analyses into existing systems (ETRM, EMS, BI);
  • Develop PPA pricing, supply, and renewable portfolio aggregation tools.

Requirements

The following skills are essential for the role:

  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy) applied to data manipulation and analysis;
  • Strong command of SQL for handling large datasets;
  • Proficiency in a data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent);
  • Analytical mindset and rigor in data processing;
  • Ability to translate data into concrete, actionable insights;
  • Business acumen and understanding of operational challenges;
  • Autonomy, proactivity, and ability to prioritize in a loosely structured environment;
  • Proficiency in professional French and English.

The following skills may help you stand out among applicants:

  • Strong interest in electricity markets and understanding of short-term price formation dynamics (supply/demand, weather, grid constraints);
  • Prior experience with the Polish and/or European energy market;
  • Proficiency in an additional language spoken in countries where Qair operates.

This role may not be suitable for you if you prefer a purely technical analytical scope disconnected from operational challenges, if you have no interest in energy markets, or if you are not comfortable with a high degree of autonomy and fast-growing responsibility in a developing environment.

Benefits & conditions

  • Annual gross fixed salary: €46,000 - €52,000;
  • 10% annual performance bonus;
  • Profit-sharing bonus;
  • Option to purchase Qair shares;
  • Meal vouchers worth €9.50;
  • Annual day-based working arrangement (forfait jours), entitling you to 10 additional rest days (RTT) in 2027.

About the company

At Qair, we have chosen an organization that promotes versatility among our employees and allows the company to constantly adapt to market needs.

Our corporate culture is inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit that has driven Qair since its inception. Far from traditional hierarchical management, we encourage initiative and autonomy, fostering an environment conducive to innovation and creativity.

We are an independent renewable energy company. Our 800 employees operate and build over 1.7 GW of assets in the 20 countries where we are present and are developing a pipeline of more than 35 GW.
